Newells Farm is a 650 acre grass and arable farm in the heart of the Sussex Weald and an ideal base from which to visit the many famous gardens, historic houses and castles and other attractions for adults and children in this lovely part of Southern England.
The farm also includes a large area of ancient broadleaf woodland. If you enjoy walking, you can explore the many paths which run from the farmyard along the edges of fields and into the woods. In early spring you will see primroses and wood anemones, and in late April and early May, the bluebells in the ancient oak woodland form a breathtaking display. Roe and fallow deer are often seen as well as foxes and rabbits. There are many different species of birds, including, in various seasons, barn owls, buzzards, larks, swallows, long-tailed tits, pheasant and woodcock.
Newells Farm is within easy reach of Brighton, with its beaches and many attractions, and the historic market town of Horsham is 5 miles away with a train service to London Victoria, very good shopping facilities and a farmers market every Thursday and Saturday.
